I want to upgrade to the latest version of 5nine Cloud Security. How do I do that?
If you wish to discuss your upgrade prior to rolling out, please contact the 5nine Support Team.
Once you have downloaded the latest version of the 5nine Cloud Security software, if you are not using SCVMM or WAP integration, the upgrade process is very straightforward:
- Uninstall the 5nine Cloud Security Management Service(s) and the 5nine Cloud Security Management Console(s)
- Install the new 5nine Cloud Security Management Service(s) (point to the same database to maintain the security configuration) and the 5nine Cloud Security Management Console(s)
- Stop the 5nine Cloud Security Services on Hyper-V hosts:
- Use Remote or Local Install to update the 5nine Cloud Security Host Management Service on your Hyper-V hosts. Please note, that host's reboot is going to be necessary to complete the upgrade if your current 5nine Cloud Security version is below v9.0
In case of a Hyper-V Cluster setup, it is recommended to place the nodes into a Maintenance mode, when installing the new version of 5nine Cloud Security Host Management Service.
