When trying to access a virtual machine console from 5nine Manager Datacenter, why am I receiving a message which says "To make Guest Console Feature available for external networks you should configure Remote Desktop Feature" ?

Issue

I am trying to access a virtual machine (VM) Console and receiving a message saying "To make Guest Console Feature available for external networks you should configure Remote Desktop Feature". How do I do that?

Resolution

If Management Console is on the same network as the Management Server and the Hyper-V hosts, then you only need to set access credentials for every hosts in the objects tree. Right click on the host and press Set Credentials button in the toolbar.

However, if the Console is run remotely and access to the Management Service is implemented via internet, you will need to install and configure the Remote Desktop Gateway. Right click on the host and press Host Settings button in the toolbar, select Guest Console Remote and then set the address by pressing the RDG settings button and entering the External address.
