How do I perform a quick virtual machine migration in 5nine Manager Datacenter?

Issue

I want to perform a quick virtual machine (VM) migration in 5nine Manager Datacenter? How do I do that?

Resolution

Live and quick VM migration applies to clustered VMs only.

1. To move the VM(s) between nodes that are joined into a cluster, select the cluster in the 5nine Manager Datacenter object tree and then select the VM that you want to move to another node. Then click the Move button in the toolbar.

2. Quick Migration Option: This option means that a VM will be migrated to another node as quickly as possible, but the VM will be switched to a saved state during the operation. Access to the VM will be temporarily suspended until it returns to an active state on a new node. This operation is applicable to a VM in any state – active (running), paused, saved or off. 

4. Best Possible Node Option: This option allows you to either select the exact node you would like the VM to be moved to or let the system choose the node automatically for you. Press OK to start the migration process.
