5nine Cloud Security v11.0 provides the following new features and enhancements:
Web-Based Infrastructure Management
5nine Cloud Security 11.0 provides lifecycle management functionality for your on-premise virtual machines.
The Bottom Line: This approach to infrastructure management allows you to quickly and easily switch between similar “On Premise” and “Smart Firewall for Azure” tabs to manage your virtual machines. Start, turn off, shut down, pause, save, resume, reset VMs and adjust VM settings from a single, easy-to-use web interface.
VM Management Interface
Web-Based Smart Firewall for Azure Management
This release allows administrators to use the 5nine Cloud Security web portal to access and manage their 5nine Smart Firewall for Azure.
The Bottom Line: This allows administrators to easily create, maintain and manage inbound and outbound firewall rules and logs for Azure VMs from a single, centralized web-based management console. There’s virtually no learning curve as you can now create firewall rules via the web portal in the same manner as the standard console.
Support for x64 Bitdefender AV Engine
5nine Cloud Security 11.0 includes support for the 64-bit version of the Bitdefender engine.
The Bottom Line: This version of the Bitdefender engine allows scans to be performed more frequently in less time and load compared to 32-bit antivirus engines. It also allows you to have a higher VM density per host without sacrificing performance or resources.
